What we're doing to improve Equality and Diversity in the sports industry

We know that the sports industry has a serious diversity problem. InSport Education are passionate about ensuring that all young people entering the industry are given the same, equitable opportunities, regardless of their race, gender, sexuality, religion, socioeconomic background, or any other unique characteristic that makes us all individuals.

As such, we've designed a course and funding scheme that will help broaden the intake of diverse talent into the sports industry. Our Business of Sport Experience is a careers-focused programme that gives participants inside access to some of the best sports organisations and top sports executives in the country.

We have partnered with some forward-thinking corporate partners, including OnSide Law, who will fund places on the Business of Sport Experience for diverse talent. We're delighted to be able to help widen the diversity of the sports industry and look forward to building similar Equality and Diversity actions into future programmes.

Equality and Diversity Policy

Diversity and inclusion should be at the heart of sport. As the industry continues to grapple with the economic challenges of our times, the future successes of the sector are ever more reliant on the talent of those working within it. InSport Education strongly believes the best talent is diverse and inclusive all of people, regardless of gender, race, religion, sexuality, age, disability, and identity, and commits to enacting this belief in everything we do.

The programmes designed by InSport Education will build in inclusion and diversity into the curriculum to ensure students are given the opportunity to explore further and better understand how sport is working to address a lack of equity and how they are seeking to challenge practice.
